367 fatalities, equal to 6.22 motorcyclist fatalities per 10,000 residents.
Florida's deadliest counties for motorcyclists
A county-level look at where fatal motorcycle crashes have carried the highest risk across Florida, based on NHTSA fatal crash data from 2015 to 2024.
Rider risk is not just a big-city problem
Large counties recorded the highest raw counts, but the risk ranking uses motorcyclist fatalities per 10,000 residents and only includes counties with at least 50 fatalities over the 10-year period.
647 motorcyclist fatalities, the largest total across Florida counties in the data.
Miami-Dade's deadliest hour recorded 51 motorcyclist deaths.

The map shows total motorcyclist fatalities by county. Counties below the 50-fatality threshold are still shown for context, but are not part of the final risk ranking.

This ranking follows the study's threshold and excludes counties with fewer than 50 total motorcyclist fatalities between 2015 and 2024.

How the index was built
This study by the research team at Andrew Pickett Law ranks Florida counties by motorcyclist fatalities per 10,000 residents, drawing on fatal crash records from 2015 to 2024 to identify where riders face the greatest risk.
To maintain statistical significance and control for volatile year-over-year fluctuations in smaller communities, counties with fewer than 50 total raw fatalities over the 10-year period were removed from the final ranking.
